Since before the short-lived stint at ‘Young Money‘ to ‘Verde Terrace’, released just before this latest mix tape, Spitta’s flow seems effortless and comes across as lethal. ‘Jet World Order’, the latest in the ever-growing library of free mix tapes Curren$y releases alongside regular featured rappers Young Roddy and Trademark Da Skydiver, is another great example of what the trio are known for, consistency.
As easy-listening as “Music 2 Ride To” in the previous collection, ’1st Place’ boasts an incredible flow, and impressive lyricism from both Trade and Roddy, who outshine Mikey Rocks and even Curren$y more than once throughout the length of the mix tape. ‘Exhale’ is another impressive track, the reverse effect to the beat creates a whirling sound which is very unique, unfortunately the song does seem to run a little too long. The stand-out track in this particular case was a tie between ‘Excellent’ in which the track seems tailor-made for Young Roddy, and ‘Nothing Less’ in which Trademark proves his chops with his impressive lyrics and flow to an almost 90′s trip-hop beat.
‘Jet World Order’ is another sterling example of why people either love or hate Curren$y, the mix like almost all previous mixes, is just the perfect soundtrack to a car ride or kickback or anything involving a communal herb-sharing.
